What is Kids Reward Board?

Kids Reward Board is a family-friendly app that gamifies household chores and responsibilities. Parents can assign chores, set point values, and create rewards while kids track their progress and earn points for completing tasks.

How do I get started?

Simply create a parent account, add your children to the family, set up chores with point values, and define rewards. Your kids can then log in to see their assigned chores and track their progress!

Is it free to use?

Yes! Kids Reward Board is completely free to use for families. We believe in making chore management accessible to everyone.

Who can create accounts?

Only guardians (18+) can create accounts. Children's accounts are created and managed by their guardians through the main family account.

How do my kids log in?

When you add a child to your family, we automatically generate simple login credentials and send them via email. Kids use these credentials to access their personalized dashboard.

Can I add multiple children?

Absolutely! You can add as many children as you need to your family account. Each child gets their own personalized experience and point tracking.

How do I invite another guardian?

Go to your profile menu → "Household Settings" → click "Invite Guardian." Enter their email, choose their role level, and they'll receive an invitation email to join your household.

What happens when someone accepts a guardian invitation?

When a guardian accepts your invitation, you'll receive a notification letting you know they've joined your household. They'll immediately have access to manage your family's chores and rewards based on their assigned role.

How do I assign chores?

From your parent dashboard, click "Add Chore," set the task name, assign it to one or more children, set the point value, and choose the frequency (daily, weekly, or one-time).

How do kids mark chores as complete?

Kids can log into their account, see their assigned chores, and click "Mark Complete" when they finish a task. Guardians receive notifications and can approve the completion.

What if a chore isn't done properly?

Guardians can review completed chores and either approve them (awarding points) or mark them as incomplete with feedback for the child to redo.

How do rewards work?

Guardians create rewards with point costs (like "30 minutes extra screen time" for 50 points). Kids can "purchase" rewards using their earned points.

Can kids request their own rewards?

Kids can request rewards they've earned, and guardians receive notifications to approve the reward redemption. This keeps guardians in control while giving kids autonomy.

What kinds of rewards work best?

Popular rewards include extra screen time, special treats, choosing the family movie, staying up late on weekends, or small toys. Non-monetary rewards often work best!

Is my family's data safe?

Yes! We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. We're COPPA-compliant and only collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service.

What data do you collect from children?

We only collect children's names, chore completion data, and points earned. No personal information, photos, or sensitive data is collected from kids.

Can I delete my family's data?

Absolutely! You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Contact us at info@815media.com if you need assistance.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email, and we'll send you a secure reset link. The process is quick and secure!

The app isn't working properly. What should I do?

Do you have a mobile app?

Yes! Kids Reward Board can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your phone or tablet. This gives you a native app experience with offline functionality and home screen access.

Important: On iPhone/iPad, PWA installation only works in Safari due to Apple's iOS restrictions. Other browsers like Edge, Chrome, and Firefox cannot install web apps on iOS - this is a platform limitation, not an issue with our app.

I dismissed the install prompt. How do I get it back?

No worries! You can always install manually by visiting our Install App page which has step-by-step instructions for every device type. The automatic prompt will also reappear after 7 days if you dismissed it.

Yes! The installed app is exactly the same as using the website, but with added benefits like offline access, faster loading, and a more native feel. All your data syncs seamlessly between devices.
